Travel Trailer Update

We’re slowly making improvements in the camper. I will eventually make new cushion covers but for now I’m focusing on curtains and other smaller but necessary improvements. Yesterday though, I mentioned to hubby that I really would like to take the carpet out of our bedroom. It was absolutely filthy, there’s no telling when it was last cleaned and it was really worn out in one area. So hubby decided to go ahead and take a peak under the carpet and we were thrilled, or at least I was, to see the linoleum continue all the way around the bed.

I will suggest for anyone who tries this to be down on the floor while pulling the carpet up because some staples may come out easier than others and someone could get hurt. Don’t ask hubby how we know, hehe. Seriously though, take it slow, be careful and I highly suggest gloves.
Knowing the linoleum covers the entire floor is such a relief to me because that means we won’t have to buy flooring to replace the carpet. Linoleum and similar flooring options can be found quite inexpensively but when you’re a low income family or someone needing to save money, anything not needing to be replaced is a good thing.

Hi! I'm Amanda, a wife, caregiver to my Parkie hubby, homeschooling mom of three and recently have become a soap making enthusiast. My hubby and I have had many an adventure over the years, our most recent being homesteaders in a small rural area of Alabama. We currently have chickens, a dairy goat we've lovingly named Georgia, three young Hereford pigs, a livestock guardian named Snow whom our children adore and two spoiled cats named Felix and Emma. Soon, we plan on embarking on our biggest adventure to date, an extended cross country trip around the United States. Our longest trip was a two week trip to New York and Canada and I thought that was long! So, thank you in advance for visiting my blog, my first by the way! I hope I have something to offer to my readers. Happy reading!
